A handful of South Sound faith groups plan a public forum tonight to consider a question related to Referendum 74 and same-sex marriage: ?Why Isn?t Domestic Partnership Enough??

R-74 is on the Nov. 6 ballot and asks Washington voters if they want to enact legislation that legally recognizes same-sex marriages in Washington.

The event takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. [Oct. 4] at The Olympia Unitarian Universalist Church, 2300 East End St., Olympia.

The Marriage Equality Task Force is sponsoring the discussion.

Its speaker panel includes members of the task force, Rabbi Seth Goldstein, and a member of the Washington United for Marriage Faith Team. The task force has members from The United Churches of Olympia, The Community of Interfaith Celebration, The Olympia Unitarian Universalist Church, and Holy Wisdom.

A discussion follows the forum. For more information, call The United Churches at 360-943-1210.
